Remington Oliver Gilles Hartwell

We welcomed our little bundle of joy into the world exactly a week ago, on June 11, 2012 at 12:26 pm. He  is by far the cutest little thing we've ever laid our eyes on.

I am completely without words when it comes to describing how wonderful this past week has been since Remy has come into our lives. (Let's blame it on a combination of lack of sleep and the overwhelming joy we've experienced since meeting him.)

And since they say a picture is worth a thousand words, I'll let the following pictures do the talking....

Turns out, that whole "rumor" of  parents taking a few a million photos of the first born is actually true. You can see more of our favorite little man here.

The First Father's Day

I hope all of the Fathers out there had a very special Father's Day.

Today was a very special day for us as we celebrated our first Father's Day as a new family.

It has only been a week since Remy entered our lives and gave Caleb the official title of Father.

But from the looks of it, being a Father is something Caleb was born to do.

Happy Father's Day to my wonderful husband. Remy and I are so lucky to have you in our lives.

Right on time

Guess who we are going to be meeting today!
Our little guy decided he wanted his very own special day. He hung in there to make it happen too. Check out what he was up against:
6-3 Caleb's Birthday
6-6 Leah's Birthday(Caleb's sis)/ due date
6-10 My Dad's Birthday
6-12 My Mom's Birthday
Now that's what I call some excellent timing.

What ready looks like.

We're ready.

We've officially started the countdown. (Oh, who am I kidding? We've been counting down for the last two weeks month.)

Mom came in last week "just in case" and has been a HUGE help around the house. (Thanks Mom!)

We washed all of the clothes and got them organized in the closet.

We put the sheets on the crib and added some ties to give it a little something "extra".

We hung some pictures.

We dusted and vacuumed and found the perfect spot for the rug.

We organized the shelves.

We even made our own print.

We have done everything we can think of to do and more. Purchase extra hangers and diapers...check. Reread the chapters on delivery and newborns...check. Pack our bags, make a test run to the hospital (so everyone knows where to go), discuss who to call when.......check, check and check. I'm not kidding when I say we're ready.

And if you're wondering, this is what ready looks like:

Bella even got her nails done. She's so excited.

And now we wait.....
